General Motors is planning to suspend production of its popular Chevy Bolt models at the end of 2023, disappointing electric vehicle advocates who value the attributes of these competent, unpretentious EVs. Folks looking to purchase an affordable, efficient EV should seriously consider snapping up a Bolt right away. The 2023 Bolt and the 2023 Bolt EUV are two of the most inexpensive EVs available in the United States, and both are currently eligible for the full $7,500 federal tax credit. The Bolt was introduced in 2017 to much acclaim, and sales in the first half of 2023 were the strongest they have ever been. They are being discontinued to make way for a new generation of EVs built on GM’s state-of-the-art Ultium battery platform. Later in 2024, the Chevy Equinox will take over as GM’s most affordable EV, and the automaker is promising to roll out a new, Ultium-based Bolt at some point in the not-too-distant future. The 1938 Buick Y-Job has a unique and dubious place in automotive history. It arguably had the worst name of any vehicle ever made. More important, it was the first concept car. It’s the practice of showcasing a vehicle to the public it may never be able to purchase.Harley J. Earl, the automotive designer and industry executive icon whose “Project Opel” became the Chevrolet Corvette, drove the concept for years. It had electric windows, flush door handles, a “gunsight” hood ornament, power-operated hidden headlamps and wraparound bumpers. The Y-Job, a 2-door convertible coupe with a 5.2-liter engine, also featured the waterfall grille design still used by Buick. Its name, in part, was Earl’s penchant for being different. While other concepts include the letter “X,” Earl decided “Y” was better. The Y-Job was never a consumer vehicle, but the concept car idea stuck. It’s how car manufacturers, mostly at automobile shows, t...The 2023 Toyota Sienna XLE Woodland Edition AWD Minivan

What is a Sienna? The Sienna is a minivan built in the Princeton, Indiana assembly plant and sold in North America by Toyota. The 2023 Toyota Sienna is a value conscious, practically minded, family minivan with seating for up to eight. Every Sienna now has an internal combustion engine (ICE) and is a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) that is available in front wheel drive (FWD) or all wheel drive (AWD). Direct competitors to the Toyota Sienna minivan are the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Kia Carnival minivans.Minivans offer a number of advantages over SUVs and crossovers, including more cargo space, comfortable seats and easier access to the third row seating. Toyota ups the minivan game by building every new Toyota Sienna as a hybrid vehicle with a gas engine, two electric motors and a third motor added to the AWD system. This hybrid drive line lets the Sienna drive in electric mode and can go up to 25 miles on battery power alone. Once the battery is depleted, the minivan will s...Man pepper-sprayed in front of Concord restaurant
